This study aims to provide evidence-based insights to further develop our interventions and enhance their effectiveness. By moving beyond simple monitoring, we will explore the deeper “pathways” of change, examining how specific agroecological practices directly influence a household’s ability to secure nutritious food.


SHIPO aims to improve health and educational outcomes for over 2,100 students and teachers across four primary schools: Jitegemee, Igeleheza, Lungwa, and Ngamanga. By constructing sustainable infrastructure, including rainwater harvesting tank, and delivering hygiene education workshops, we are creating safer learning environments and combatting waterborne diseases.
