Union Day in Tanzania is a national public holiday celebrated annually to commemorate the 1964 unification of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, which formed the United Republic of Tanzania. It marks the union of the mainland and the island, celebrating national unity with parades, cultural performances, and speeches, particularly at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
